Renowned journalist Linus Kaikai and his wife, Jacinta Mueni Kaikai, continue to inspire many with their enduring love, deep trust, and devotion to family and heritage.
The couple’s journey began in 2005, and from the onset, their bond was marked by remarkable trust. Just three weeks into their relationship, Kaikai handed over his ATM card to Mueni—an act he described as a powerful symbol of confidence and transparency in their budding romance.
They officially tied the knot in December 2012 at the Nkoroi Catholic Church in Ongata Rongai. Over the years, the couple has been blessed with three children: sons Lenkai and Leon, and a daughter, Resiato.
In August 2024, their firstborn, Lenkai, marked a major milestone by undergoing a cultural rite of passage into adulthood. He graduated into a full Maasai moran, with the moment beautifully captured on video by Mueni.
The footage showed a visibly proud Kaikai dressing his son in traditional Maasai attire—a clear testament to the family’s commitment to preserving their cultural roots.
Professionally, the two continue to excel in their respective fields. Linus Kaikai serves as the Director of Strategy and Innovation at Citizen TV and is the current Chairman of the Kenya Editors Guild. Jacinta Mueni, meanwhile, holds the position of Group Production Manager at Ogilvy Kenya.
Their story is one of love, tradition, and professional excellence—a powerful example of a modern Kenyan family balancing career and culture.
