Popular educator Teacher Cillah is taking a well-deserved break, and she has made sure her followers know about it.
On Monday, September 15, the viral online personality posted an animated selfie video filmed at a resort, walking along a paved pathway as she spoke directly to the camera with visible excitement.
In the clip, she revealed she had gone two months without being contacted for work, describing the stretch in Swahili as “Nikikumbuka ndiko na mezi mbili untouched, untouched, untouched,” laughing as she gestured at the camera.
She went on to recommend the resort to her followers, saying, “Those two untouched months, I would advise you to come to this resort – it is the place to be. Just come, you’ll have a very good experience.”
Her caption carried the same energy: “Ama muombe leave for 2 months muende vacation hapa. Nothing is impossible. This is the place to be aki. I will keep you posted on what you get there.”
The getaway, which she is enjoying in Isiolo, comes shortly after Cillah featured in one of Kenya’s most wholesome viral moments, when President William Ruto’s son, George Ruto, visited her at Westlands Primary School in Nairobi following weeks of playful TikTok exchanges between the two. During that visit, George clarified that he is married, ending the light-hearted wedding speculation that had circulated online.
Her resort video has since drawn a wave of reactions, with many followers relating to the challenge of securing time off work. Some joked about their own job situations, while others quipped that delayed rest was still rest earned.
Beyond the viral moment, Cillah continues to build her online following through educational content. Her Instagram account recently pulled in 31.8 million views in a single month, despite having only 187,000 followers, as she keeps attracting collaborations and partnerships through her engaging teaching videos.
