“Kuiba ya pesa tutafunga kwa sababu ya ajira ya hawa Wakenya. Lakini hawa wakora ambao wanafaidika wametupeleka kortini. Ile sheria tulipitisha ya agenda nne ati wamepeleka kortini, ati wanataka kutusimamisha ndio waendelee kuiba. Mimi nataka niwaambie hivi, mniangalie macho vizuri tafuteni mtu ya kutishana nayo sio mimi…” President Ruto said
Ruto’s speech was directed at a group of cartels who have been benefiting from corruption in the Ministry of Health. These cartels have been accused of siphoning off millions of shillings from the National Health Insurance Fund. Ruto has been a vocal critic of corruption, and he has promised to crack down on.
