The situation in some parts of Ol Kalou has been reported to have several cases of impersonation.A man patrolling in the constituency has been confronted by people in Ol Kalou after being spotted in plain civilian claiming that he is a police officer.
According to video emerging online, the man dressed in a white jacket was caught trying to interfere with the area voters in Ol Kalou while in a personal vehicle.The public finally chased him away to his vehicle with chants.
As details emerge, the exercise began this morning as early as 6:00 a.m. with voters arriving at polling stations in large numbers. A number of parliamentary candidates, including Samuel Muchina from United Democratic Alliance (UDA)and Sammy Kamau Ngotho from (DCP)arrived at the Huruma Primary School polling station to cast their votes escorted by their supporters.
The situation overall is calm, with heavy security deployed in polling stations across all 5 wards to enhance peace. Although chaos had been reported in some areas, with some alleging rigging of votes by giving out money to voters.
The tallying of elections is expected to begin on time just after the voting process has concluded.
