Former Maria actor Silas, who has the real moniker of Nyakundi Isaboke, has opened up about his life and disclosed that he has ventured into politics.
The award-winning actor, who is also a scriptwriter and a filmmaker, revealed this in a post that he recently made on his Facebook account, where he further made it clear that he even intends to contest for a political seat in the 2027 general elections.
Nyakundi Isaboke actually wants to be the next Kitutu Chache South Member of Parliament, a constituency that is located in Kisii County.
The actor shared a photo of his campaign poster, and then added a caption that showed how confident he was in winning that seat.
“INCOMING” He said.
The post by Nyakundi Isaboke however elicited mixed reactions from Kenyans on Facebook.
While some encouraged him to contest for the Kitutu Chache South seat, others advised him against it since they were of the opinion that he was not going to win it.
If Nyakundi Isaboke is indeed serious about wanting to contest for the Kitutu Chache South seat, then he will be seeking to replace Hon. Anthony Kibagendi who is the current holder of that office.
Anthony Kibagendi actually became the Kitutu Chache Chache in the 2022 General Elections, after winning the contest via the Orange Democratic Movement (ODM) party.
