Pastor Ezekiel Odero of the New Life Church ministry was on Thursday May 4, set free by the Shanzu law court.The controversial pastor had been arrested a week ago in connection with alleged deaths of his followers in the church premises and had also been linked to pastor Mackenzie who is the main suspect of his followers deaths at Shakahola.
The pastor ha been released after a week that was occasioned with movements between courts and being taken to custody.The pastor was released on Ksh 3 million bond and one surety ora Ksh 1.5 million cash bail.
After his release, his followers who had congregated outside the courtroom awaiting the judgment broke into dance for his newfound freedom.They also carried him shoulder high while singing praises to God for giving in to their wishes and prayers.
The release of the pastor after a week spent in custody is huge relief and will somehow justify his innocence in the various crimes that had been levelled against him.
