Popular Kenyan actress and digital content creator Sandra Dacha has proved once again that the best way to handle a public scandal is to monetize it. Rather than issuing a tense, defensive statement to address recent allegations linking her to a witch doctor, Dacha has clapped back with a brilliant piece of satirical marketing.
The controversy erupted after a woman named Sofia Lucas publicly accused Dacha of referring her to a witch doctor to resolve her marital issues. Lucas claimed she was scammed out of Ksh 45,000, paying Ksh 15,000 per session for three separate spiritual consultations.
Instead of going into hiding, Dacha leaned heavily into the drama by releasing a star-studded, comedic video where she plays the “receptionist” for the alleged witch doctor. Seated outdoors with a notebook and pen, a comically serious Dacha is seen booking clients and openly bargaining with them, playfully noting that she pockets a Ksh 1,000 commission for every referral.
To bring the parody to life, Dacha recruited some of the biggest names in the Kenyan digital space. Comedian Eric Omondi stars as the eccentric “witch doctor,” while popular creators Baba Talisha, GK Sirkal, and Lencer Nyasuba make cameo appearances as desperate clients seeking his services. In a cheeky nod to the real-life accusations, the skit explicitly references the Ksh 15,000 pricing and the “three-session” package.
By transforming a potentially damaging reputation crisis into a viral marketing campaign, Dacha has earned widespread praise from fans for her business savvy. Her witty rejoinder serves as a masterclass in how modern influencers can flip internet outrage into creative, money-making content.
