Popular musician Samidoh, alias Samuel Muchoki, has once again sparked reactions online after hilariously firing back at newly elected Mbeere North MP Leonard Njeru Wa Muthende. MP Leonard Wa Muthende accused Samidoh of hurling profanities at him in the past.
The singer has had his fair share of political confrontations in 2025, especially given his political loyalties. What happened between Samidoh and Wa Muthende? Appearing in a past interview on Inooro TV, Wa Muthende claimed that Samidoh had insulted him.
“On Saturday, I saw a musician called Samidoh… He mentioned Wamuthende, Wamuthende and then insulted me. I am going to look for him because he has a big voice and a following. I want to ask why he said that,” the MP said.
The first-time lawmaker added that he had previously forgiven people who insulted him online, including former deputy president Rigathi Gachagua, who he alleged had made unflattering remarks about his personal life.
However, in Wa Muthende’s case, he insisted that he was ready to engage with Samidoh to understand why he would insult him and would seek clarification from the singer directly. He also noted that he was not planning violence.
How did Samidoh respond? During a live performance at OJ HQ in Ruiru, Samidoh opted to address Wa Muthende’s claims in his signature humorous, freestyle fashion. While on stage, he broke into improvised lyrics mocking the MP’s remarks.
“Mbeere North, I will come there on Sunday, and when I arrive, I will tell Wa Muthende to stop saying I insulted him. I was talking about carrying something harooo. I had decided never to go back there because they said they would beat me, and when you investigate, you’ll find it’s because of the name Wa Muthende,” said.
The crowd erupted into laughter as Samidoh repeated the playful lines, added little dances, and cheekily jabbed at the politician.
