Police In Naivasha are investigating an incident where a grade 6 student died under unclear Circumstances allegedly after falling into a school borehole. In a report that has been shared by a reliable source of information, it has been reported that the student allegedly fell into the borehole after stepping on the cover of the borehole.
Father of the deceased who spoke about this incident questioned why the school did not use strong covers for the borehole even though they knew that this is a school.
The man who broke down said that he went to take lunch to his son only to be told that his child had fallen into the borehole.
I don’t understand what is happening, I came to school to bring food for my child, and I just heard that my child fell in the borehole. Why didn’t the school use covers if they know that this is a place that is thronged by students ~ He said?
A pupil who spoke about this incident stated that they were going back to class from the toilet before the deceased stepped on the cover of the borehole, it broke, and the deceased disappeared into the ground before he was found dead.

While reacting to this incident, Kenyans who took to their different social media platforms to express their opinion on this topic have sent their condolences to the family and friends of the class 6 student wanting the school to take responsibility.
Kenyans have also called upon the school to do something about the borehole, to avoid more tragedies.
