PS Belio Kipsang, today, visited the home of Rift Valley Billionaire David Lang’at alias DL for traditional dowry presentation.
According to an update issued by Oscar Sudi the Ruto PS who was accompanied by elders arrived at the home of David Lagat to present dowry for his son.
Apparently Belio Kipsang’s son Brian recently tied the knot with the daughter of David Langat, Nicole at a posh engagement ceremony.
Hence, as per Kalenjin norms and culture the family of the son are required to pay dowry which is normally in form of cattle. The family of the son alongside dowry negotiators, comprising of elders often arrive at the bride’s home to negotiate and then subsequently pay dowry.
Photos shared by Oscar Sudi showed a cow and a sheep not to mention camels being delivered to the home of David Lagat.
