Ruto’s Chief of Staff, Felix Koskei, on Friday, February 20, visited Kipsigis Girls High School in Kericho County to celebrate the outstanding performance of the 2025 KCSE class.The visit brought together students, teachers, and education stakeholders to recognize the remarkable achievements of the learners and the school’s consistent culture of excellence.
During the celebration, it was revealed that the school’s mean score had risen to 9.8206, up from 9.0974 in 2024.
Of the 419 candidates, 404 qualified for university, marking a transition rate of 96.4%, an increase from the previous year’s 95.7% when 334 of 349 students qualified.
The mean score for Mathematics was particularly impressive at 10.2751, reflecting the school’s strong focus on academic rigor in core subjects.
Felix Koskei congratulated the learners, staff, and teachers for their dedication and hard work, praising the school’s nine-year track record of maintaining KCSE mean scores above 9.
He encouraged the Class of 2026 to aim even higher and to uphold the school’s tradition of discipline and academic excellence.In a special highlight of the day, a new school bus was commissioned to support the institution’s transport needs, ensuring safer and more reliable travel for students.
The celebration underscored the importance of a collaborative approach between school leadership, educators, and government officials in nurturing talent and creating an environment that motivates students to excel academically and prepare for future opportunities.
