The Orange Democratic Movement (ODM) party leader has today taken Kakamega county by storm as he spearheads campaigns for the Azimio Gubernatorial candidate Hon Fernandes Baraza. Raila was accompanied by another team of Azimio allies including the outgoing governor, Hon Wycliffe Oparanya.
Mr Fernandes Baraza is set to battle out the Ruto-led Kenya Kwanza Alliance candidate Cleophas Malala who happens to be his biggest challenger in the hotly contested race.
Raila urged Kakamega residents to massively turn out in large numbers on Monday 29 and vote for Baraza with regard of showing that Kakamega county is an Azimio stronghold. Raila reiterated that under his government (if he’s declared the new president-elect by the Supreme Court), Kakamega will greatly benefit.
On the same flip side, Raila demanded that the Independent Electoral Boundaries Commission (IEBC) Chairman Wafula Chebukati gets into custody ahead of the Monday polls, accusing him (Chebukati) of being involved in election malpractices in the just concluded elections.
