The visit includes the celebration of Madaraka Day, which will be held in Homa Bay on Sunday. Eliud Owalo who is the State House Deputy Chief of Staff, has shared photos of President’s arrival at Kisumu International Airport, marking the beginning of his extensive tour. Despite Odinga’s absence, a strong contingent of Nyanza leaders, including some closely associated with Odinga, were present to receive the head of state.
Among those who have welcomed President Ruto were Kisumu Governor Anyang’ Nyong’o, Interior Principal Secretary Raymond Omollo and Cabinet Secretaries Mbadi and Opiyo.
