His majesty King Charles III on 1st November visited Kariokor cemetery where he laid wreath on war memorial graveyard.
However while he was going forward to lay the wreaths, he stumbled and almost fell , a situation that forced Queen Camila to act quickly by holding him.
Camila who was standing next to him gave him support which enabled him to retain his balance and adjusted his glasses.
King Charles III as well met veterans who took part in World war II a day after holding a dinner at statehouse alongside top government officials like president William Ruto.
“It is the intimacy of our shared history that has brought our people together. However, we must also acknowledge the most painful times of our long and complex relationship,” King Charles said.
“The wrongdoings of the past are a cause of the greatest sorrow and the deepest regret.” He added.
It should be noted that the former prime minister Raila Odinga who doubles as Azimio la Umoja one Kenya Coalition’s chief as well attended the dinner and was accompanied by Ugunja constituency member of parliament Hon Opiyo Wandayi.
