A few hours ago, a report emerged stating that over 300 homes have been told to evict forest land at Koibatek. According to the report, farmers have been told to leave this land for it legally belongs to the forest. This mass eviction has occurred just a few days after residents were given 70 days to evict Njiiru land that belong to Kirima’s wife.
According to the report, these farmers are said to have encroached into the forest and took part of the land for farming. The government now wants them. out of the land immediately without a grace period to take their belongings. Sadly, these residents have to obey this order or face bulldozers as usual.
