The Confederation of African Football has confirmed Kasarani Stadium will host the CHAN Final on August 30.The championship, tailored for domestic-based players, is making a historic return to East Africa after nearly a decade, with co-hosts Uganda and Tanzania staging other fixtures.
Ruto’s visit followed a recent joint inspection by CS Kipchumba Murkomen and Sports CS Mvurya, who evaluated the stadium’s infrastructure and security readiness.
Key improvements include upgraded seating, modernized training grounds, and advanced security features such as CCTV surveillance, controlled access points, and robust emergency response plan.
With over 18 African nations expected to participate, the event will not only highlight Kenya’s growing sports infrastructure but also serve as a platform to showcase the country’s hospitality, organizational capabilities to the continent and beyond.
