President William Ruto has announced major changes in government immediately after the prayer breakfast. The president has affirmed that, his office, the office of the Deputy president Rigathi Gachagua and the office of Prime Cabinet Secretary Musalia must cut spending budget and it’s a directive.
The president has made it clear that, the rest of government departments and agencies must also cut spending. Some of the areas that the president wants budget reduced is on recurrent expenditure.
The president has made it clear that, his office will lead from the front in cutting government spending. He is firm that, the country has a lot of debts that’s why everybody must tighten their belts so that we have a balanced budget that will not depend on borrowing to cure the deficit problem.
