After spending four days on Kenyan soil, King Charles and Queen Camilla have departed Kenya through Moi International Airport.The British Monarchy was seen off by President William Ruto and his Deputy Rigathi Gachagua at the airport in Mombasa.
Light showers of rain were witnessed as Ruto walked along the King on the red carpet as they approached the runway.
Both were shielding themselves from the rain with umbrellas.
However what caught attention of hawk eyed netizens was president William Ruto showing his wife Rachel love by shielding her from the rain.
The head of state donned his signature Kaunda suit as Rachel donned a long yellow dress, the two walked closely as the head of state shield his wife from the rain after seeing off King Charles.
Rachel and Ruto got married in 1991 and are currently raising seven children.
In 2016, Ruto was touched by the story of a girl called Nadia who was abandoned as a newborn and gave her the name of his mother, Cherono.
