The incident occurred during a public gathering attended by local leaders and residents. The meeting was reportedly part of an empowerment programme targeting women and young people in the area.

According to information provided by the injured parties, violence broke out during the event, leading to a confrontation that resulted in gunfire. The victims were identified as Job Kiprono, Mohamed Ali, and Isaac Cheruiyot.

The three sustained gunshot wounds to their hands and legs and were subsequently taken to Molo Level 4 Hospital for medical treatment. Their conditions had not been officially disclosed at the time of publication.

Job Kiprono, one of the injured individuals, alleged that the unrest began after Kuresoi North Member of Parliament Alfred Mutai arrived at the venue. The event was reportedly being led by Susan Kihika and attended by other leaders.

As of the time of publication, no official statement from the police, the Nakuru County Government, Governor Kihika, or MP Mutai had been located to independently verify the circumstances surrounding the incident.
