Pastor Victor Kanyari has once again left many talking after showing kindness to TikToker Manzi wa Mombasa during a recent church service.
The mother of one revealed that life had become very difficult for her, and she even faced eviction. Seeking comfort, she walked into Pastor Kanyari’s church to share her struggles.
According to Manzi, she had reached a breaking point. At one time, she even faked having cancer just to get sympathy online. But this time, she said she went to church simply because she believed Pastor Kanyari could help.
Her courage to speak out touched the preacher deeply. In response, Kanyari gave her KSh 50,000 to help sort her rent and take care of her young son, baby Chira. The boy was named in memory of the late TikToker Brian Chira.
Manzi also revealed that she had never dedicated her son in church, so the preacher prayed for him and blessed him during the service.
“This lady has really suffered, and many people have even laughed at her online. But just because she came here, we will hold her hand until she makes it,” Pastor Kanyari said.
Apart from helping Manzi, Kanyari also honoured the late Brian Chira. An audio clip of Chira’s witty voice was played in church, reminding the congregation of his unique presence.
The preacher explained that Chira had used his visibility to help others, including his grandmother, and prayed that church members would also be given the right audience to achieve their dreams.
TikToker Kawira, who shared the story, praised Kanyari’s actions, saying it showed that churches can be places of love and restoration.
Brian Chira passed away in 2024 after a road accident, but his memory continues to live on through those who loved him.
