Police are pursuing a gang of robbers believed to be behind the fatal stabbing of a 35-year-old man in Kamulu, Nairobi County.

Geoffrey Gicheru was attacked in the morning while on his way to work in the city centre. According to his wife, Gicheru had left home early but was later found lying along Josnah Road with deep stab wounds to the chest.

Witnesses said the attackers fled with his cash and personal belongings, leaving him in a pool of blood.

The body was later taken to the mortuary for autopsy and further investigations.

Police have launched a manhunt for the suspects and assured residents that efforts are underway to bring them to justice.

Officers noted that similar incidents have been increasing, especially during early morning and late evening hours when many residents are commuting. Authorities have urged the public to remain vigilant and, if confronted, to cooperate with attackers to avoid loss of life.

Residents of Kamulu say such crimes have become more common, especially in the early morning and late evening hours when many people are going to or returning from work.

In response to the rising cases, police have intensified patrols and security operations in urban and residential areas.
