Otile Brown pays tribute to Brian Chira and Peetah Morgan - Kenyans Living It

Renowned singer Otile Brown has expressed his heartfelt condolences following the tragic passing of TikTok sensation Brian Chira and reggae icon Peetah Morgan from Morgan Heritage.

Otile highlighted the profound impact their lives and contributions have had on him personally and within the music industry.

In a live interview with Simulizi Na Sauti, Otile Brown revealed his surprise upon learning about Chira’s untimely demise, stating that he was taken aback when fans began tagging him in posts regarding the tragic news.

Expressing his gratitude for Chira’s appreciation of his music, Otile urged his fans to prioritize self-care in the face of life’s uncertainties.

“I was surprised at the fact that Chira loved my songs. I thought it was only right to say something. There is so much happening and life has lost meaning. You guys take good care of yourself,” Otile remarked.

According to a police report, Chira died as a result of an accident he was involved in, in the Karuri area on March, 16.

It’s reported that his body was collected from the scene on Saturday and taken to the City Mortuary at around 3 am.

Police said he was hit by a speeding car but they do not have more details on the same.

Brian Chira’s body was taken to the City Mortuary with injuries on the forehead.

Police also said the deceased had been to a bar in the Gacharage area and later caused a commotion.

He was then forced out.

He later took a motorcycle to his home and alighted before he tried to cross on foot.

A speeding lorry hit him and sped off. It did not stop, witnesses and police said.

The matter is under investigation.

Reflecting on the passing of Peetah Morgan, with whom he collaborated on an album in 2022, Otile expressed shock and disbelief at the sudden loss.

“I was shocked to learn that Peetah was dead. We had planned to shoot a video of our song. I was in contact with his brother Mojo but I never knew Peetah was ailing. I woke up in shock on social media. They are legends and even giving me the opportunity to work with them means a lot,” Otile revealed.
