Otiende Amollo, the Rarieda Constituency MP, Senior Counsel, and a towering legal mind in Kenya’s political arena, has ignited a storm of public fury after finally commenting on the brazen and chilling abduction of Juja MP George Koimburi.
His remarks—delivered with the characteristic polish of courtroom eloquence—have been slammed as cold, calculated, and shockingly indifferent to the terror inflicted on a fellow lawmaker.
Even more incendiary is the alleged connection between the abduction and the impeached former Deputy President Rigathi Gachagua, deepening an already volatile national crisis.
Rather than confronting the growing epidemic of political disappearances, torture, and deaths head-on, especially following the blood-stained protests of #RejectFinanceBill2024, Amollo’s words were perceived as evasive and insulting to a grieving, traumatised nation.
