statehouse kenya

Jalang’ o has finally responded to the voices that have urged him to resign after meeting President William Ruto at the State House. Yesterday, the Lang’ ata MP Felix Odiwuor Jalang’ o was booted out of an Azimio la Umoja parliamentary group meeting that was underway at Maanzoni Lodge in Machakos County.

Jalang’ o clarified his ODM stance during a phone interview with Milele FM. ” Utawai kutoka ODM? ” Alex Mwakideu asked his former radio colleague. ” Sasa nikitoka ODM nitaenda wapi! ” Jalang’ o replied. Alex Mwakideu joked that the MP could switch sides to Kenya kwanza but he strongly declined. The Lang’ ata MP said that he is in ODM till the end and he won’ t budge.

A group of men prevented Jalang’ o from entering Thursday morning’ s ODM group meeting, causing a commotion outside the building. The MP was let in after the little uproar, only to be escorted out a few minutes later. After being forced to leave the hall, Jalang’ o gave an interview to the press in which he blamed a member of Raila Odinga’ s security.

” I feel bad. You know I love Baba… I am a member of ODM, ” he stated. The problems the lawmaker is in are related to a meeting he had with President William Ruto on Monday. According to Odinga, the meeting where the opposition legislators from Orange Democratic Movement (ODM) and President Ruto in Statehouse was not approved by Azimio.

” The people had not gone to ask the people who elected them whether they want to go to Kenya Kwanza, ” he stated. During the PG meeting for Azimio, Odinga also said, ” These people who have defected from Azimio ought to resign from the positions and go. ” The leader of the opposition ODM party sneered at the explanation given by the legislators who met with President Ruto to discuss how to bring about national harmony and economic growth.

For Odinga, trips to the Statehouse to plan for future growth were unnecessary because of the clear separation of powers established by the constitution of 2010. ” These people must be seen for what they are. They are traitors in the cause of the revolution! ” Raila exclaimed. Share your thoughts in the comments section below and follow for more political news.
