While Raila Odinga has remained quiet over his 2027 ambitions, reports have emerged that he could be secretly planning to throw his sixth stap on the ring.
According to The Star newspaper, Raila’s inner circle remains split, with some urging him to back President William Ruto’s re-election while others push for a direct challenge, especially in light of mounting public discontent with the UDA administration.
A section of ODM Members of Parliament is now urging President William Ruto to support Raila Odinga’s presidential bid in the 2027 general election. The leaders argue that such a gesture would foster national unity and political reconciliation.
Secret sources says Raila is being pushed by powerful forces, including those from the Mt Kenya region to run for presidency in an attempt to save his legacy that he has built for decades.
The report says 80% of Kenyans believe Raila is the sure bet to remove President Ruto from power as the rest of the candidates have got no political muscle to counter the genius and very tough president Ruto.
