The Kenyan entertainment industry is reeling from the sudden and tragic death of popular DJ and hype man Astroid Hypekid, whose passing has left fans, colleagues, and family searching for answers.
Astroid, born Vincent Nyaga, reportedly died just two days after Christmas in circumstances that remain unclear. His death has sent shockwaves through the nightlife and entertainment scene, where he was widely known for his energy, charisma, and growing influence as a hype man.
According to reports circulating online, the events leading to his death began at Klub Q West in Kahawa West, where he was allegedly involved in a heated altercation shortly before collapsing. Devonte further alleged that during the dispute, Astroid was pushed into a glass window, causing serious injuries. He was later rushed to Kenyatta University Teaching and Referral Hospital for emergency treatment. Sadly, doctors later confirmed that he had been declared brain-dead.
