The head of the National Construction Authority, Engineer Maurice Aketch, is in charge of the last steps of preparing the grave for the late former Prime Minister Raila Odinga. The digging part is now done, and the team is working on finishing touches like applying plaster, building the roof structure, and setting up the walls that will hold up the roof over the entire grave.Engineer Aketch said the workers have been working late into the night to get everything ready.
The work has been going smoothly, with the floor already prepared, the walls lifted into place, and finishes added to both the floor and walls. Right now, the team is wrapping up the final details to make sure the site is ready for the funeral.
He added, “We’re really on track, and things are moving well since yesterday, as you can see.
Last evening, we were working on the floor. Now we’ve put up the walls, and we’re in the final stages of adding the finishes to the floor and walls. Once we’re done, everything will be ready for tomorrow.”
