Dikir

Artists from Nandi County have publicly declared their support for Senator Jackson Mandago, hailing him as the region’s next political kingpin after he facilitated transport for them to attend an event in Emurua Dikir.

The group of musicians and entertainers praised the senator after he provided them with a matatu to ease their travel to the cultural and political gathering held in Narok County.

During the send-off, several artists openly expressed gratitude to Mandago, saying the gesture showed his continued support for the creative industry and young talents across the North Rift region.

Some of the performers chanted slogans declaring that Mandago would become the next influential political leader in the region, describing him as a unifying figure capable of rallying the Kalenjin community.

“Mandago, you will be the next kingpin,” the artists declared repeatedly, drawing cheers from supporters who had gathered during the departure.

The entertainers said the senator has consistently supported youth initiatives, especially in sports, arts, and community empowerment programs, which they believe positions him as a strong political figure in the region.

They noted that leaders who support grassroots talents often earn genuine loyalty from young people who form a significant voting bloc in future elections.

The Emurua Dikir gathering attracted several leaders, cultural figures, and community members from different parts of the Rift Valley region, with political undertones already emerging ahead of the next electoral cycle.

Mandago, a former Uasin Gishu governor, has remained a prominent political voice in the Rift Valley since being elected to the Senate.

Observers say endorsements from artists and youth groups are increasingly becoming influential in shaping political conversations, particularly on social media and community platforms.

Political analysts argue that such public declarations, even when symbolic, reflect early alignments as leaders begin consolidating regional influence and building networks ahead of future political contests.

The artists said they were honored to represent Nandi County at the Emurua Dikir event and thanked Mandago for making their participation possible.

They expressed hope that leaders would continue supporting local creatives, saying arts and culture remain powerful tools for unity, identity, and community development across the region.
