Wairia Daughter

Monday, the 14th of April, was indeed a special day for Rachael Wanja, who is the daughter of former Murang’a Governor Mwangi Wa Iria.

This is because on the day, her daughter Aria, who is actually her first-born child, officially turned 10-years-old.

Like any other loving mother out there who is usually proud of the milestones of her kid(s), the sassy golf enthusiast was also proud of her daughter’s birthday and therefore she celebrated it in style.

Rachael Wanja infact took to her Instagram account and penned Aria a heartwarming birthday message in which she gushed over her.

She also wished her daughter the very best with regards to her future.

“My daughter turns a decade old. A whole decade! How faithful is God! Watching you grow over the years has been the most beautiful blessing of my life.

Aria, you are like pillars carved to adorn a palace – strong, unbreakable and predestined for greatness! (Psalms 144:12).

Your light shines brighter with every passing year, and I can’t wait to see all that God has in store for you.

Happy 10th birthday, my precious girl – may your next decade be filled with joy, purpose and divine favor” Rachael Wanja wrote.

Baby Aria is actually the child that Rachael Wanja sired with businessman Ben Gatu, a man whom she was once in a relationship with before it ended years ago.

Unlike some other couples out there who usually co-parent to raise their kids, the two ex-lovers do not co-parent and the beauty queen raises the baby girl alone.

Rachael Wanja disclosed this in 2019, when she had a question-and-answer session with her fans on Instagram, where she addressed the matter of them co-parenting after their break up.

“Unfortunately, I have no experience in that but I always admire parents who continue sharing parental responsibilities even after their relationship has failed that’s maturity at its best” she said.

At the time, Rachael Wanja was also asked if she was going to allow Ben Gatu to meet Aria.

In her response, she said:

“He chose not to be in his daughter’s life. I would present that fact to my daughter for her to make a decision whether or not to let him in. Even the Bible tells us we have the power to choose life or death”
