Mugithi singer Samidoh has firmly established himself as a leading figure in the Mugithi music industry while balancing his duties in the National Police Service.In the photo, Samidoh is seen dressed in full police camouflage, posing confidently on an armored vehicle while holding a rifle.

His bright smile contrasts sharply with the rugged, tactical environment, sparking intrigue among his fans.

The last time the singer was spotted in uniform was in January when he posted a video performing his song Toxic Love while seated in an office, dressed in his Administration Police uniform.

His dapper appearance earned praise from Kenyans, though some humorously questioned whether he actively serves as an officer.

The armored vehicle in the photo is reportedly a DCD Protected Mobility Springbuck, manufactured in South Africa.

According to Military Africa, the vehicle features B6 ballistic protection, capable of withstanding two TM57 landmines under any wheel or one directly beneath the hull.

It has a payload of 1,500 kg and a weight of 9,000 kg. Powered by a 6.45-liter six-cylinder turbocharged diesel engine, it generates 194 horsepower.The vehicles were acquired by Kenya’s Interior Ministry in 2024 under Operation Maliza Uhalifu.

Samidoh joined police service in 2013, undergoing 15 months of training before graduating in 2014.

His first deployment was in Eastleigh, Nairobi, followed by postings in Mpeketoni, Lamu County, and later Dadaab, Garissa County. Currently, he is stationed in Athi River, Machakos County.

Despite his rising fame in the music industry, Samidoh remains committed to his law enforcement duties.

Addressing speculation about leaving the force, he stated, “I cannot leave a job I struggled to get. Have you seen how tough police recruitment is?”
