Kangata

Muranga County Governor and UDA politician Irungu Kangata has openly disagreed with Kikuyu Member of Parliament and Majority Leader in the National Assembly Kimani Ichungwah, 12 other Kiambu MPs after their latest move.

Kimani Ichungwah and 12 other Kiambu MPs including Senator Karungo Thangwa had written an urgent letter to the Cabinet Secretary for Trade Rebecca Miano while asking for the gazettement of twin EPZs in Kiambu as had been okayed by President William Ruto in their latest meeting at the Statehouse.

In the letter, the 13 Kiambu County leaders had told the CS to urgently follow up on the matter while saying that Kiambu County Governor Kimani Wamatangi was sabotaging the project. The letter went to say that Wamatangi was being guided by his own selfish interest at the expense of Kiambu residents where they mentioned that the Governor was not only sabotaging the project but also the Affordable Housing programme in the county.

However, Irungu Kangata has openly opposed the statements from the leaders while saying that Kiambu and Muranga are one.

“No no my brothers and sisters from Kiambu.Muranga and Kiambu is one.All we have done is to Unite the two counties back to their original motherland,Muranga.” Wamatangi said.
