Suba North Member of Parliament Millie Mabona has expressed concern over the death of Nick Imudia, the former CEO of Nigerian e-commerce company Konga and later Group CEO of solar firm d.light.

According to reports, the deceased died on 25 June 2024 in Lagos, Nigeria.

Nigerian police said he died after falling from the balcony of his 7th-floor apartment in Lekki, Lagos.

Initial reports described it as a suspected suicide. He was on a business trip in Nigeria at the time.

He had been based in Nairobi, Kenya, running d.light since October 2022.

Imudia’s family publicly disputed the suicide narrative.

They said investigations were ongoing and claimed he never showed signs of depression.

They also denied reports that he made farewell calls to his brother and daughter.

In May 2026, NTV Kenya’s _Murder Tapes_ documentary released alleged WhatsApp messages and recordings. The programme claimed that:

Imudia was in a relationship with his former personal assistant, Diana Kavetsa, also spelled Kaveza.

He faced financial demands and threats involving intimate material, with alleged demands escalating to KSh 21 million before a KSh 8.5 million payment was reportedly agreed.

The documentary suggested he faced mounting coercion and psychological pressure in the days before his death.

These allegations have not been tested in court. No one has been charged, and Lagos Police said investigations were ongoing as of mid-2024.

Taking to social media, MP Millie called on men to stay faithful in their relationships.
