Kathiani MP Robert Mbui has responded after President William Ruto held a visit in Machakos County on Saturday, 20.
The lawmaker observed how the Head of State was heavily guarded by his security details pointing out the fear within his circle.
Mbui noted that Ruto’s gathering was close to where victims of police brutality were buried and that there was fear of hostility in the area.
On Saturday, Ruto was at the Eastern Kenya Integrated College in Mitaboni, Machakos County, for a church service.
He also laid the foundation stone for the construction of the institution’s laboratories.
Speaking to the gathering, the Head of State said that his administration have managed to consolidate and stabilise the economy which he said was at the risk of collapsing.
President Ruto assured that no region will be left behind in Kenya’s transformation agenda.
” Now, we are on the path to transforming every part of Kenya — including Ukambani that has for far too long suffered marginalisation due to politics.” Ruto stated.
Interestingly, opposition principals led by DCP party leader Rigathi Gachagua and Wiper boss Kalonzo Musyoka also camped in Machakos for a church service.
The duo attended pastors ordination at The Calvary Christian Tabernacle Church, Mutituni, Machakos County.
