Embakasi East Member of Parliament, Babu Owino, has announced the completion of the Donholm Phase 5 Road.Sharing photos of the newly finished road on Saturday, October 4, the legislator expressed pride in delivering a long-awaited infrastructure upgrade.
“Construction of the Donholm Phase 5 Road is done and dusted. This is not just a stretch of asphalt and concrete. This road represents progress, connectivity, and possibility,” he captioned.
According to Babu, the road marks a new chapter for residents of Embakasi East, one that promises easier movement, stronger business growth, and closer community ties.
He emphasized that for years, the area struggled with poor roads that slowed economic activity and inconvenienced families.
He added that, “Whether it was difficulty in reaching schools, hospitals, or markets, the lack of proper infrastructure affected our daily lives.
But today, we stand on a path, literally and figuratively, that leads toward greater development and improved quality of life,” he said.The completion of the road has been welcomed by locals who believe it will ease traffic congestion, open up opportunities for traders, and enhance accessibility to essential services.
Residents say the project will also improve safety and reduce transport costs in the busy estate.
MP Babu Owino reaffirmed his commitment to ensuring that Embakasi East continues to benefit from development projects aimed at uplifting living standards.
He noted that roads are more than physical structures—they serve as foundations for growth and unity.
The legislator further pledged to prioritize additional infrastructure projects, including more road upgrades, to address the challenges of rapid urbanization in Nairobi’s Eastlands.
