Nelius Mukami, the wife of Government Spokesperson Isaac Mwaura, is currently among the proudest mothers in the world.
This is because their son Njiru Mwaura has recently put a huge smile on her face, after he won a medal after his incredible performance at a swimming gala.
Nelius Mukami actually opened up about this in a post that she made on her Facebook account on Saturday, the 4th of October, where she shared two photos that showed Njiru Mwaura wearing the medal around his neck.
The sassy maternal health advocate then accompanied the photos with a long caption in which she pampered the 8-year-old with love and praises.
“A few months ago, at the beginning of this year, my son went to his very first swimming gala. He came and told me: “I was the last one.” So I asked, “what do you want to do about it?” Without hesitation he said: “Take me for swimming. I want to practice for the next gala”
And now, here we are 💃💃💃💃 with his first medal🏅. For me it’s not about the first, it’s about the fact that he didn’t give up. He wanted to do better – and he worked for it…” she said in part.
Nelius Mukami added:-
“Eight years ago, this same boy was fighting for his life in the NICU. He weighed just 800 grams and was on the ventilator. Today, he’s teaching me one of the life’s powerful lessons: 👉 Don’t give up. Just keep practicing. Be better tomorrow than you are today.
To any mom out there walking through tough days, waiting on milestones, or holding on to hope – please know it gets better. My little warrior is living proof 💙”
