In Nairobi, residents can expect cloudy skies in the morning giving way to sunny intervals, with temperatures ranging from 15°C to 27°C. Mombasa will experience sunny intervals and occasional showers, with higher temperatures between 25°C and 32°C.
The coastal heat continues in Garissa and Wajir, which are forecast to receive rains alongside sunny breaks. Garissa will see highs of up to 35°C, while Wajir follows closely at 34°C.
Eldoret and Kericho will enjoy cooler, stable conditions with sunny intervals and maximum temperatures of 25°C and 24°C respectively. Nyeri, Meru, and Kitui will experience partly cloudy conditions with sunny spells, with highs ranging between 25°C and 29°C.
Western and Rift Valley towns such as Kakamega, Kisii, Narok, and Kitale are expected to enjoy mostly sunny intervals, ideal for outdoor activities.
Temperatures in these regions will hover between 24°C and 28°C.
In the eastern regions, Machakos will face some rain and sunshine, with lows of 13°C and highs of 26°C.
Moyale will also have a rainy start followed by sunny intervals.
Overall, the Met Department urges citizens, especially in rain-prone zones like Garissa, Moyale, and Wajir, to plan accordingly and be on the lookout for brief downpours. The temperatures are generally warm across most parts, with the highest expected in Garissa.
