Canadian based Kenyan Lawyer and Revolutionary Activist, Dr. Miguna Miguna has been one of those that have celebrated the decision by the Judicial Service Commission after their appointment of Justice Mohamed Warsame to join the Supreme court bench of Judges.
Speaking through his official X page in his late night message, the vocal Lawyer lauded the decision by the Judicial Service Commission, which according to him meant the rejection of former President Ruto’s Lawyer, Katwa Kigen.
According to Dr. Miguna Miguna, former President Ruto’s Lawyer would have been a threat to the the Apex Court, and it was wise for the JSC to reject his nomination.
Miguna has argued that had Katwa Kigen been given the position, President William Ruto would have a secured passage through the Supreme court in any case of an election petition.
“Katwa Kigen prefers a dead lovkrtcourt, which means the Supreme Court would allow the incumbent to continue by default. Dangerous. I’m glad the JSC rejected him.” Stated the vocal city Lawyer through his late night message.
Allegations similar to those of Miguna Miguna had been raised by a section of other Kenyans who has argued that Katwa Kigen, would have made things easier for President William Ruto in the eventuality of any election petition.
