Detectives have launched manhunt for a gang of 15 members that raided a school in Kabati, Murang’a county, killing a night guard before taking valuables.

Last night, a gang of about 15 people raided Wangai Secondary School and attacked two guards on duty.

According to police, one of the guards, Joseph Nyoike Njuguini, was killed.

The deceased died in a laboratory under construction after the gang tied him up.

Police said they tied Njuguini hands and legs with nylon ropes and that he was bleeding from the head.

He succumbed to his injuries. The other guard’s whereabouts is still unknown but the police and the residents are still looking for him.

The investigations states that the gang entered the compound after midnight and ambushed the guards.

The gang then broke into the principal’s office, stealing eight CPU computers and two laptops.

The manhunt for the gang have been launcher by the concerned authorities.
