A man in Ndeiya, Limuru, saved a Grade 3 student from an attempted rape.
The man, identified as Njiriri, was out collecting fodder for his animals when he heard noises coming from a nearby bush. Curious and concerned, he went to investigate.
To his shock, Njiriri discovered a man assaulting a young girl.
The attacker was armed with a knife and attempted to stab Njiriri when he intervened.
Despite being injured—he sustained a bite on his thumb—Njiriri didn’t back down. Instead, he fought back and called for help.
His cries drew the attention of nearby villagers, who quickly rushed to the scene.
They were determined to help, and together they confronted the attacker. The villagers were furious and overwhelmed the man, delivering a severe beating.
As of now, the rapist is in police custody, facing serious charges. The community is grateful to Njiriri for his bravery, which likely saved the young girl from a horrific fate.
