A shocking incident unfolded in Kisumu after a man came home in the evening and found his wife in a compromising situation with another man. The husband, unable to control his anger, attacked the man and stabbed him 24 times, killing him on the spot.
The incident happened in the Migosi area of Kisumu, where neighbours reported hearing loud screams and noises coming from the house. According to witnesses, the husband had just returned from work when he walked into his house and found the man with his wife. The two were allegedly caught pants down.
Angered by what he saw, the husband rushed to the kitchen, picked a knife, and launched a vicious attack on the man. He stabbed him repeatedly in the chest, neck, and back. The man died on the spot due to excessive bleeding.
Neighbours who heard the commotion rushed to the scene and found the woman crying and the man lying lifeless in a pool of blood. Police officers were called to the scene and later arrested the husband. The knife used in the attack was also recovered at the scene.
The body of the deceased was taken to the Jaramogi Oginga Odinga Teaching and Referral Hospital mortuary, where a post-mortem is expected to be conducted.
Police have launched investigations into the matter. Kisumu Central Sub-County Police Commander confirmed the incident and said the suspect is in custody. He will be charged in court once investigations are complete.
The wife is also being questioned to help police understand what really happened. It is not yet clear whether the man who was killed had a relationship with the woman or was just a visitor.
The incident has left residents of Migosi in shock. Many are calling on couples to handle domestic issues peacefully and to avoid taking the law into their own hands.
