Earlier today, protesters filled the streets of Nairobi to oppose the financial bill,determined to carry on with their demonstrations, they were heard chanting ‘Ruto must go’ as the police unleashed tear gas to disperse them.

According to sources, activist and x influencer Hanifa Farsafi was arrested in the Nairobi city center while carrying out the anti-finance bill protests. Photos of an elderly woman participating in the protests also caught the eyes of many as she was captured falling and people stepping on her. Below is a few of kenyans comments;

According to the finance and planning committee chairman Kimani Kuria, the ordinary bread would remain zero-rated. The committee further lowered the 25 percent motor vehicle circulation tax and 25% excise duty proposed on crude palm oil and refined edible oils to 5%.
