Kenyan digital content creator Lydia Wanjiru has explained why she is happy to remain child-free, saying she does not want the responsibilities she associates with marriage and raising children, according to reports.
According to K24 Digital, Wanjiru shared her views on Friday, August 7, 2026. She questioned the role a husband would play if she were left handling household duties and caring for children.
According to reports, Wanjiru said marriage could involve cooking, feeding the family and making sure everyone is ready for bed. She questioned what her husband would be doing while she handled those responsibilities.
“Thank God I am child-free and marriage-free,” Wanjiru said, according to K24 Digital.
