On Saturday, DCI Boss Mohamed Amin faced sharp criticism for allegedly not taking action against some government officials working in City Hall, Nairobi.

The officials are accused of engaging in criminal activities, raising public concern over the lack of accountability in the administration.

However, CS Murkomen urged leaders to allow the DCI and other security agencies to do their work without interference.

He said that spying on how officials like Mohamed Amin operate could weaken their efforts to fight crime.

“We must let our security officers work freely to protect the law,” Murkomen said according to one of the reliable sources.

According to Kileleshwa MCA, Robert Alai, there are three City Hall officials—Patrick Onalo, Osmam Khalif, and David Njoroge—who are allegedly working closely with DCI Boss Amin while engaging in criminal activities. Alai called for these officials to be arrested and charged in court.

“These people are criminals and should face justice. There is no excuse for ignoring such acts,” he said.

Alai also urged Police IG Kanja to act swiftly on the named officials and ensure they are arraigned in court.

“The law must take its course without fear or favor. It is time for action,” he added.
