Ledama Olekina is the currently serving senator for Narok County. He is serving his second term in the Senate. The vocal politician was first elected during the hotly contested 2017 general elections and subsequently re-elected during the hotly contested August 2022 general elections through the Orange Democratic Movement Party ticket in both occasions.
Senator Ledama Olekina was among the ODM politicians and leaders who witnessed the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding between president Dr William Samoei Arap Ruto and the former second Prime Minister of the Republic of Kenya Hon Raila Amolo Odinga.
But it seems as if the senator could be planning to exit the ODM after feeling a bit disappointed.
According to his latest post on X, Senator Olekina said that he will visit his people and together they must forge ahead and work towards their common goals. He also said that it is only those with numbers that matter in Kenya.
His disappointments comes after President Ruto realigned his government, but the Maa Community did not reap from it even though Hon Raila was given some positions for his people.
