Faith Jerop from Diani was overcome with emotion as she recounted the harrowing ordeal of losing custody of her young daughter to her Russian lover.
Speaking to TUKO.co.ke, Jerop said her partner lured her into travelling to Russia under the pretense of a family visit, only to turn against her once they arrived.
According to Jerop, shortly after landing, her partner secretly registered their child at a local hospital, falsely declaring himself a single parent.
Matters worsened when a lawyer confronted her with shocking news: she had lost custody of her daughter, who had been declared “at risk” in her presence.
“I was told I am a danger to my own child, something I’ve never heard before in my life,” she cried. “I was helpless, far from home, and unable to understand how this happened.”
Jerop is now back in Kenya but says the legal battle ahead is steep. She estimates she will need at least KSh 10 million to challenge the ruling and regain custody of her daughter through Russian courts.
