A woman from Kitengela, Kajiado County, was left frozen in confusion and heartbreak after discovering her husband’s secret morning routine.
The woman, identified only as Mama Shiko, noticed her husband was suffering from extreme burnout due to endless work shifts. Out of love, she secretly organized a weekend getaway at a secluded cottage in nearby Namanga and even secured an official day off from his boss.
However, the surprise turned into a nightmare when her husband woke up at dawn and put on his uniform, claiming he was heading to kazi.
A quick WhatsApp message to his manager confirmed he was indeed off duty. Terrified and shaking, Mama Shiko took her *gari* and quietly trailed him down the Namanga road, fearing the worst for her marriage.
“My heart was in my mouth. I couldn’t understand why he would lie to me after working so hard,” she said, overwhelmed by shock.
