Kiambu county hospital has gone viral on social media platforms after a woman went unattended for ten hours after stillbirth.The superintendant of the hospital are investigating whether there was any negligence by the hospital staff during the trending case of a mother who had been referred from Athi River to come for maternity services in Kiambu Hospital.
The patient in question by the name Judith Wambui had just been admitted to the health facility after complications occurred owing to the fact that the patients had diabetes and been referred their for specialized treatment.The person who was captured in the viral video decrying neglect by the staff was not patient to ask and follow the due process while she was recording the viral film.
The accuser who recorded the video claimed that the situation has been addressed and the mother is well taken care of and awaiting discharge from the medical facility.The video which erupted across televisions on Wednesday morning showed an irate woman aggressively complaining that her patient had not been attended to for a very long time.
The watchmen were also recorded trying to calm her down as she provocatively told them off whereas at some point the woman could be heard threatening in her local dialect to strip naked if they did not treat her patient.The video has since elicited mixed reaction from Kenyans who have ganged up against the hospital.
