Nominated senator Karen Nyamu has stirred conversation once again after opening up about her personal life during an appearance on King Kaka’s cooking show Let Him Cook.
While speaking on the show, Nyamu revealed that she has outgrown her past relationships and even some of her old friendships. She explained that although she can still hold conversations with people from her past, she often feels they no longer have much in common.
“I outgrow things very fast. I already left that space, I am already in another world,” she said.
Nyamu added that sometimes she feels guilty for drifting away, fearing that people may think she has become proud. However, she pointed out that she has learned to accept this as part of who she is, someone who quickly moves on to the next stage of life.
The mother of three also confirmed that she is currently in a relationship. After her highly publicized split with Mugithi singer Samidoh, Nyamu admitted it did not take her long to find love again. She revealed that within two months of the breakup, she had already met someone new.
Although she had initially planned to remain single for a while, Nyamu said she decided to give the new relationship a chance. She described her current love life as calm and fulfilling compared to her previous experiences.
“Relationships are very different from my experience. I am experiencing calm, nice love, this is the best kind of love,” she said.
