Reverend Julian Kyula has addressed speculation surrounding his marriage to Pastor Amanda Kyula, while Tana River Senator Danson Mungatana and his wife, Mwanaisha Chidzuga, continue to mourn the death of their eight-year-old daughter.
Kyula spoke about the rumours during a Sunday sermon on September 13, responding to reports that he and Amanda had separated. The founder of Ruach Ministries told his congregation that the claims were untrue and indicated that the couple remained together.
The preacher also referred to the difficult period his family and ministry had experienced. He said he had forgiven those involved in spreading the reports and urged them to stop circulating information about his marriage.
Kyula’s comments came after weeks of speculation about his relationship with Amanda, making his public response one of the notable celebrity stories of the week.
Meanwhile, Zimbabwean businessman Wicknell Chivayo attracted attention after announcing an extravagant birthday gift for Zion Christian Church Bishop Nehemiah Mutendi.
Chivayo said he had given the bishop a brand-new 2026 Rolls-Royce Cullinan facelift valued at about KSh140 million. He also presented him with KSh32 million in cash, which was described as money for fuel and personal use. The businessman said the gesture was intended to honour Mutendi’s Christian service and encourage continued prayers for Zimbabwe and its leadership.
In Kenya, Mungatana and Chidzuga were facing a much more painful moment after the death of their youngest daughter, Amal Mghoi Mungatana.
Amal died on September 13, aged eight, after experiencing serious health complications since birth. According to reports, she had received medical treatment in Kenya and abroad during her illness.
The family later travelled to Ngao Village in Tana River County, where Amal was laid to rest on September 18. Images and footage from the burial showed Mungatana and his family mourning the young girl during the emotional ceremony.
Elsewhere, attention remained on South African billionaire Johann Rupert and his long-standing connection to the automotive world. His family’s motoring legacy is preserved at the Franschhoek Motor Museum, which houses more than 220 vehicles representing over a century of automotive history.
Among the collection’s notable vehicles are a McLaren F1, Porsche Carrera GT and Pagani Huayra, alongside several rare Ferrari models. Johann Rupert acquired and relocated his father’s historic collection after the earlier Heidelberg Motor Museum closed, eventually establishing the Franschhoek facility, which opened to the public in 2007.

The Stelvio Quadrifoglio uses a 2.9-litre twin-turbo V6 and can accelerate from zero to 100 kilometres per hour in about four seconds, according to reports. Alfa Romeo’s official specifications list the model with up to 510 horsepower, depending on the market and version.
