Digital strategist Dennis Itumbi has brought back memories of one of Kenya’s most shocking crime stories — the disappearance and murder of two Indian nationals in 2022. Speaking during a discussion on accountability in security operations, Itumbi claimed the two men were abducted, taken to Amboseli National Park, and killed by hyenas after being handed over to rogue officers.

He said the incident exposed deep gaps in Kenya’s justice and police systems, noting that families of the victims still seek closure years later. The two Indians had been part of a political digital campaign before vanishing mysteriously. Their remains were later recovered, prompting the arrest of several officers linked to the now-disbanded unit.

Itumbi urged the government to uphold justice, saying truth and accountability must prevail for the victims and their families. The resurfacing of this case continues to raise questions about security reforms and human rights in Kenya.
